The Mega Powers split on this day in 1989. Fuck I'm old.
yeah i haven't seen enough of his matches (saw most of the rumble match - very good stuff, but came off way more impressed with rollins)BigRedLedbetter wrote:I don't even dislike Cena. Fantastic worker though when he wants to be.
Rollins is incredible in the ring. Really hope he feuds with Bryan and Dolph after he wins the title.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:yeah i haven't seen enough of his matches (saw most of the rumble match - very good stuff, but came off way more impressed with rollins)BigRedLedbetter wrote:I don't even dislike Cena. part of it seems to be the storylines revolving him are just uninteresting...and it's not that he's that bad on the mic from a delivery standpoint, i just never care about what he has to say
dolph seems like he has potential, but i haven't seen enough of him to knowBigRedLedbetter wrote:Rollins is incredible in the ring. Cena has not had a good storyline really since the Nexus angle. Which he buried.
Dolph is an incredible worker and seller in my humble opinion. His injury after he cashed in after WM29 really derailed him. He is actually really funny as well if they would give him more mic time. The two guys I wanna see champ most next are Dolph and Wyatt.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:dolph seems like he has potential, but i haven't seen enough of him to knowBigRedLedbetter wrote:Rollins is incredible in the ring. i feel like the heels (especially wyatt and rollins) are all way more interesting than the faces...cena, ryback, reigns all bore the sh*t out of me...i like ambrose, but he's a bit too over the top at times...i like what i've seen from sandow, and he's basically a face teamed with a heel at this point which is an interesting dynamic...they should push him more
i don't really know what i'm talking about but thanks for listening
on ambrose, it's just his mannerisms and facial expressions that are over the top...i enjoy him on the mic...i haven't paid enough attention to his in-ring work to know how good he isBigRedLedbetter wrote:Dolph is an incredible worker and seller in my humble opinion. Ambrose is hilarious but agreed I'm not sure what his character will look like long term in the WWE with training wheels on.
Ryback has a likable quality. I can not put my finger on it. He is still pretty damn over but still is green as fuck though. For all the shit Reigns gets he is nowhere as green as Ryback who is very careless with guys in the ring.
I really enjoy Sandow as well. Welcome anytime, Lenny.
He is just alright in the ring. Good enough. Yes great on the mic. You can tell he grew up loving guys like Jake Roberts, Piper, etc.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:on ambrose, it's just his mannerisms and facial expressions that are over the top...i enjoy him on the mic...i haven't paid enough attention to his in-ring work to know how good he isBigRedLedbetter wrote:Dolph is an incredible worker and seller in my humble opinion. He's got the look and kisses ass like a champ. But agreed. It really helped Cena that Brock left as far as getting pushed to the moon.BurtReynolds wrote:Cena will always be that lame white rapper to me. How that guy got big, I'll never understand.

The Kids love him. Really, is he any lamer than Hulk Hogan?BurtReynolds wrote:Cena will always be that lame white rapper to me. How that guy got big, I'll never understand.
About the same amount of lameness. I was always a Savage guy growing up so I didn't like Hogan.tommymtcom wrote:The Kids love him. Really, is he any lamer than Hulk Hogan?BurtReynolds wrote:Cena will always be that lame white rapper to me. How that guy got big, I'll never understand.

Despite not watching a lot of wrestling for years, I somehow caught Cena's earliest fights, before he had a gimmick. I thought for sure he was destined to be a Norman Smiley type jobber who would get destroyed every week. He got crushed in that match.
Imagine my surprise when I found out later he was the champ.
