I was gonna say it could be the sister/nephew of "BROTHER."
One way or the other, this clip was given up for adoption, and sounds like it's looking for it's relatives.

The new clip sounds like a mix of new Soundgarden and Foo Fighters riffing (bridge burning). Hopefully it doesn't turn to shit like BB does. I much prefer something like this to their pop punk crap though. i think this could really rip
As for PJ doing the post rockish thing i'd be all for it but i have a pretty strong feeling they aren't going to be swimming out that far on this one. Maybe they'll prove me wrong

Its funny that you say that cause was thinking that the production (from just that small clip anyway) sounded like the production style of "Chasing Light" the Foo's latest particularly rope or BB. Good call! And if it is truely like that it would be extremely refreshing cause I as well like this more than that pop punk stuff as well.

Figured it out. That ambient clip is heavily reminiscent of a track in tut 95 movie. It's a piano and drum playing slowly over footage of troops parading in front of a building. Think it's right before last exit.

I'd be fine for them to just wade in. Hints of post-rock would be OK. Now that these clips sound pretty good, to my ears, I'm even more interested in that uke song being on here. I am hoping it's that song we heard on the short clip before. I think that a pinch of post-rock, some heavy, and some nice country-esque stuff, would be put this album above S/T and possibly Backspacer for me. Could it be Ten meets Binaural?

I don't really like FF much anymore, but not because of the band, mostly because I'm not interested in the melodies and vocal. I'm different with PJ, usually, because Ed (even old Ed) is preferable to me than Dave Grohl. So FF with Ed would be fine by me.

I loved the one in that movie. Shame it never surfaced, think it was one of jacks tunes, based on the odd sparse percussion in it.
The thinking seems to be that this new one is the intro to sirens? I'd be happy if it was a stand alone track. Love when PJ get all atmospheric. Which they haven't really done since sleight of hand.

Although...I just heard the clock ticking on Pearl Jam radio followed by "Tune in at Noon for a big announcement" Makes me think they're gonna premier the song.

The "big announcement" is bound to be that the PJ clock is ticking and that we'll hear the single on Thursday, i.e. it will not be news to us.

If not hopefully we at least get some clip of the song beyond that 10 seconds.

First they said July 16th then changed it too July 17th.
They repeated the stbc comparison. They then discussed the fake track listing on their website.
