I love the regional idea, but I'm a bit unique in that I have a whole country to draw from (as relatively uninspiring as Canada's baseball history may be). I know some people mentioned the inequalities in options, but we could always use a salary cap or something to balance things out a bit.Lament wrote:I'm a fan of it, but I may have been the only one.philpritchard wrote:Where did everyone else fall on the idea of a non-draft regional tournament of some kind?
I actually prefer the non-draft tournaments to the draft ones, but I like the idea of rotating between them. After this one, the next one will probably be the Second Annual Franchise Tournament (in early October, once the 2015 stats are added to WhatIf), followed by (assuming it's not deemed too difficult) the Live Ball Era (1920-1946) Tournament. And then possibly a tournament where everybody who has been in each Era tournament assembles a Best Of team from each of their previous teams.
Pot isn't legal where I live.Lament wrote:I know you guys also want to do a Tournament with a pot for the winner at some point too. We'd have to decide what kind of tournament to make it though. I think it should be separate from the Era and Franchise tournaments.
I love a regional idea. I'd love to run a Midwest/heartland team.philpritchard wrote:I love the regional idea, but I'm a bit unique in that I have a whole country to draw from (as relatively uninspiring as Canada's baseball history may be). A New England team would be pretty sweet but to each their own.cutuphalfdead wrote:Not a fan of the regional one.
When this draft is over I am going to work on a potential roster for fun. if it sees the light of day awesome. If not oh well. I don't think anyone would fight me for this region. I think I can put together a pretty solid squad. The Argonaut wrote:I love the regional idea.

Isn't it your turn? The Argonaut wrote:Would the deciding factor be birthplace?
I'd say so. Or maybe where they graduated HS? I prefer birth place. The Argonaut wrote:Would the deciding factor be birthplace?
