I'll maybe give you '85, which is a HUGE transition year with Lorne coming back and a whole new cast, but from 86-90, the show really went back to being what it was in those first years. This is the era that I started tuning in week after week. Other than the original 5 Lorne years, this is by far my favorite period. Sure, some of my fondness may be clouded by nostalgia, but if you go back and watch, I'll think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I really wish they'd start releasing subsequent seasons on DVD. There's no way I wouldn't get them.

Re: Saturday Night Live
Honestly, I've not explored it that much. My biggest disappointment is that it doesn't have the Bill Murray Hercules sketch from the mid-80s. That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.tragabigzanda wrote:I got it when it first came out, and eventually deleted it. I imagine it's been updated a lot since then. Re: Saturday Night Live
Finally got around to the last episode. The wrestling promo skit was hilarious, and the child-molesting robot was probably one of the greatest things I've ever seen on SNL. Holy shit that was ballsy.
Both Katy Perry performances were laughably awful garbage. What an embarrassment. It was like watching Gwenyth Paltrow in a rap video.
