Lowlight has a monster of a team here, with my Personal Scoring System (PSS™) giving him 11 points, and that's without the bonus point for no album repetition.

Born to Run, State Trooper and No Surrender all nabbed him top points, as did 'Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street', an absolute steal with the 2nd last pick of the whole shebang.

Monkey's team did get the bonus point, and comes in at 9 points, with Promised Land, The River and Gypsy Biker all scoring top marks. In the end She's The One and Two Faces was the difference, neither managing to disturb the scorers.

Vote for Lowlight.

Higgs' team is a thing of beauty and results in a full 17 points under the PSS™, including the bonus point. He was recently quoted as saying that if he had it all to do again he would have snagged Thunder Road with his first pick (it was on the board at the time, taken by Scott with the pick immediately following), but, as they say in the classics, shit happens.

guestT' team actually gave this reviewer a lot of new listening, some good, some not so. Atlantic City, I'm Going Down and Better Days all score top votes, but no bonus point in play here. 9 points.

Okay, so this is a little difficult for me and I almost feel bad for voting at all because I'm so new to so many of these songs. A lot of what I'm basing my vote on is first impressions. I'm sure a lot of these songs really open up and change the more familiar you are with them. So, anyway, here's where I'm at right now being a fairly novice Springsteen listener...

MD and lowlight have really evenly matched teams. The River and Gypsy Biker were my favorite discoveries from MD's team, while E Street Shuffle was probably the song that did the least for me. Drive All Night and Does This Bus... were my favorite discoveries from lowlight's team, while Open All Night was the one that did the least for me.

In the end I have to give the edge to lowlight. But really it comes down to how much I love Born to Run. Like I said, both teams are so good and so well matched, it really just comes down to that song being the best of the two teams. It was the tie-breaker.

Higgs might have the best team in this thing. Holy shit. I love every single song on his team. Streets of Philadelphia, Lonesome Day, and One Step up were the only three I knew at the start of this tournament. And I already loved all three of those. Terry's Song and Candy's Room were my favorite discoveries. Not a bad song in the bunch.

I also really enjoy tcms's team. I have it on the same level as MD and lowlight's teams. I just think he's out-matched by Higgs' monster team here. I knew I'm Goin' Down and The Wrestler before the tournament. Gave It A Name and Living In The Future were two discoveries that totally blew me away. Great fucking songs.

All four of these teams are solid. Thanks for including me and introducing me to all this new music. This has been fantastic. I can't wait to see how these songs evolve and change for me over the years.

Tough matchup for Monkey, going up against the murderer's row of BTR-->State Trooper-->No Surrender. As much as I love Promised Land I have to give the nod to Lowlight.

Growin' Up, Candy's Room, One Step Up, Lonesome Day, Terry's Song...all songs I hoped to add my team but Higgs kept snatching them up first. It's almost enough to make me give him my vote, but I can't bring myself to vote against Atlantic City. I vote Me.

Man, sorry about that. That's true, Ive never posted much since the new forum happened (I was formerly known as Walter Sobchak). But I've been a lot in Bruce Springsteen lately (reading born to run for example).
I truly chose the 2 teams that have songs that I like the most.
