It's sort of like how Obama is just like Hitler because they both rode powerful populist movements into power, both worked to recover their countries from economic struggle, both passed education initiatives early on in their terms, and both wrote books.

Harmless. We call that prechorus. Pj have been doing that all throughout their career, in any amount of songs.

And in those ways those two songs are alike.
But it doesn't mean anything at all when it comes time to evaluate them as individuals, or to decide if they are any good. So who cares?

Fuck, man. You don't like Sirens. You don't care. I like Sirens. But regardless of who likes Sirens, Jorge asked how we are hearing similarities in the songs, which was not the same question as "How the fuck can you possibly like Sirens?"

So those two songs are differently similar but have varying levels of sucky goodness?

I prefer sirens but at least they can manage to play black successfully in the live setting.
sirens either needs more rehearsal or is one of those songs like sleight of hand, that should just be left for the record.
