Reminds me of something I read years ago about nuclear bombs. Basically, it doesn't matter if the bomb is gigaton or megaton class if it goes off right next to you.

Yeah, this teaser stuff doesn't excite me at all. It feels like they're trying to make a new album a "big deal", as though Joe Public gives two hoots about Pearl Jam - or that's even something worthwhile to aim for.Chris_H_2 wrote:these guys have a gigaton of money, and they're nearly 30 years into their careers. this is getting pretty old. just release the album digitally unannounced like radiohead and be done with it.
Can't these guys just do something small, simple and direct?

i like the imagery and the audio snippet, but the campaign feels like something a 45yo old marketing manager would come up with. "Hey, Instagram is such a huge tool. and AR tools are cool right? Snapchat and things."Birds in Hell wrote:dprival78 wrote:you know what's another cool way to promote a new album?

Do you think they had any input into this? Back in the day, PJ were very much in full control of their marketing.bodysnatcher wrote:it's not a knock at PJ, it's a knock at whatever digital agency they hired to do this
