It’s not doing that. It’s a look behind the curtain on the process.
I often say it here I’m fascinated by the making of Star Wars as much as Star Wars.
The sets the designing the art all of it.
Mileage may vary I guess but I love this type of stuff.

I thought people had minds and brains. Apparently not if they’re believing that shit.

I don't see much correlation between the MCU and Lucasfilm.tragabigzanda wrote:It's the MCU syndrome: Disney wants to sell me on a multi-media franchise over the next decade, when all I'm interested in is a satisfying conclusion to a much smaller film series.durdencommatyler wrote:yes and notragabigzanda wrote:Herein lies at least 50% of what's wrong with the new movie. I also don't pretend any authority on the matter. There are a couple of MCU movies I like. So...

I’ve just discovered you can’t do that twisty thing with a lightsaber when you’re walking you see obi wan and Rey do. It hits the floor.

I legit have no interest in new stories that take place in this part of the saga. I'd rather more clone wars or rebels, or a completely different timeline altogether. But more kylo or Rey or Poe stories? No thanks.

One of my favourite scenes in this is Ben getting the saber. The knights all taking a step back ‘ohfuck’. They know they’re toast. But then him using the force fucking them around and cutting to Rey catching blaster bolts and throwing them back and also throwing the guards around.
Such a cool fight scene

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
Just had an amazing chat with a guy.
Obi wan speaking to Rey in the vision is him looking over her as Luke has cut himself off from the force possibly among the other reasons he sensed there’s a Palpatine heir out There? And also plays into him rejecting her on ahch to?
Anakin couldn’t reach through to Kylo to try reason with him as Palpatine was blocking him and clouding his mind and ability just as he clouded the entire jedi councils for years. And easily filled kylos head with the darkness and corrupted him albeit not completely. Remembering also Rey hears Palpatines voice in that vision. Did he send it to her? The shit with kylo and knights of ren he seems to see her or at least sense her (and ‘what girl?’ Was he always able to sense her out there in the diad of it all?)
Love the way we can build our own narrative around these things.
Sad that it’s often better than what’s presented haha

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
yeah, because in the films its presented so poorly..Everything is open to interpretation.
But i do love Yoda and Obi Wan´s voices in that vision from TFA. And it was damn cool to have Palps there, even if its barely audible.
