It opens with a quick, chiming riff and then gets heavy, fast, and punky. YOU BETTER MIND YOUR MANNERS BOY, MIND YOUR MANNERS

The tour is going to be extensive, starting in the US late fall/winter and was planned around what Springsteen did on the Fall/Winter 2003 Rising Tour, so if you want an idea on venues and cities, that's pretty close. Then next Summer is Europe and Winter 14 will be Australia, New Zealand, Japan. Gonna be fun.

The new album is my favorite one they've ever done. Some great short pop songs and some weirder stuff too, and some definite future stadium anthems. It flows kind of like a Guided by Voices record.
So if this guy is right, this song is in fact the Obama comment that IlluminEddie wanted (albeit an inadvertent one). I'm not surprised at all.

He didn't get the MYM lyrics right... Wasn't "You better mind your manners boy" an RM gag before the single arrived?

I don't think so at all. The song is full of irony, "Mind your manners" is ironic, and the video has footage of bombs going off throughout.

Freelance writer working at home. Currently telling everyone who wants work from me to go away as 1) I needed a break for the summer and 2) I'm about to enter months of editing my first full poetry collection with my publisher and 3) there's a new PJ album soon.

I was just about to ask the same thing.
And to add that sometimes I'm envious of you motherfuckers who can chit-chat all day. I got this huge project on my hands that I have to turn in tomorrow, and all I have time for is to scan these pages rather than read them...

I usually have Microsoft Word open at the same time as RM. I've just finished three book reviews for a magazine that I'm about to hand in, and I've also been working on an email interview for another one which should be published soon. So I've been doing stuff, just not enough to drive me mental and shift my life priorities.
