I thought Halloween was more the culprit. It does seem to be tied to people having smaller gatherings. Like holidays. I don’t know how it is where others vote but I wasn’t really near anyone for any length of time, only in the building 10 min or so, booths spaced out, and everyone wears masks around here.

Pointing out that things will probably get worse after the big holiday does not make someone a doomsdayer. The MAGA approach by people who only want to protest restrictions are probably a big reason we’re in this mess. And to be fair, even here where everyone does the right thing in public, they just aren’t in private. That’s not about politics. But again, pointing these things out isn’t extreme.

I thought that at first, but looking where the red zones are seems like the in-person states were hit harder.

I am actually worried about the effect of college kids coming home for thanksgiving. It's gonna get much worse.

Agreed. This is definitely a high risk period between college kids coming home and the holidays. I don't think it makes anyone a doomer to say that the 2-4 week period after Thanksgiving could be the worst period yet. It's not hard to see if you've been following along.
