And to add that sometimes I'm envious of you motherfuckers who can chit-chat all day. I got this huge project on my hands that I have to turn in tomorrow, and all I have time for is to scan these pages rather than read them...

I've just finished three book reviews for a magazine that I'm about to hand in, and I've also been working on an email interview for another one which should be published soon. So I've been doing stuff, just not enough to drive me mental and shift my life priorities.

Well, he definitely deserves more of the blame (or credit), since he's the one steering the ship. That being said, I'm not sure he took anywhere where they didn't want to go. Remember Stone was initially the one interested in making a very concise record the last time around (which wasn't a bad idea in theory at the time, IMO. It's the execution that was off, rather than the idea of having a "pop" record).

I'm not so much blaming him, just thinking that because he's in this headspace we're less likely to get a left turn record or whatever. For that to happen he would have to be the one really gunning for it, or at least really down with the idea.

And i agree with you on the execution thing, i woulda taken an album full of Leatherman, Hitchhiker, Don't gimmie no lip, U, Black red yellow etc. To me thats poppy "fun" PJ. ( i may be the only one )
