The better question was how wasn’t there one sooner? I mean, it’s not a mystery that Dave has made every effort to somehow straddle the line between big time powerhouse rock band with “timeless classics” with a Spinal Tap motif. That they are intentionally creating a “b” level parody horror movie should surprise no one.

Some people just need to create I guess. Seems to be a strong driver for Dave Grohl it seems.
It's like Ed's recent solo stuff - doesn't particularly pump my nads, but I'm damn glad he keeps on creating.

I'd say most touring bands don't have the space/luxury to bring billions of different guitars on the road.

I've been listening to an ungodly amount of Encanto these days and I've come to the conclusion that I'd really, really like to hear REM do "Waiting for a Miracle." The classical guitar has sort of an AFTP/Out of Time feel to it and I think Stipe's coarse vocals could take us to an interesting place that Stephanie Beatriz only hints at.

i have never listened to a foo fighters album. the only times i've ever heard any of their songs were from tv or radio, and never by intentionally listening to a particular song.
