Unfortunately the OT is still just the Lucas cuts, and I’ve sampled the new 4K transfers on Disney+ and they look like shit, so I’m passing. :(

Ah bummer.

You sure?
I’m wondering wtf is the 27 discs? Surely the original cuts have to be in there

They’re not, sadly. There’s a breakdown of the disc content out there but I don’t remember what it was.

Sadly I don’t think we’re ever gonna get a legal release of the unaltered OT while Lucas is alive.

Here’s what I found: Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Box Set - Limited Edition (27 discs) featuring all 9 Saga movies on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Bonus discs (Blu-ray) for every movie in a special collector's set.

Episode I: Phantom Menace

Episode II: Attack of The Clones

Episode III: Revenge of The Sith

Episode IV: A New Hope

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Episode VI: Return of The Jedi

Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

Audio: Dolby Atmos 7.1.4

Rogue One will also be released on 4K around the same time.

Went for my fifth last night and just noticed something I haven’t seen mentioned. Rey’s saber makes the strangest noise. It much more like a really peaceful hum rather than a regular lightsaber sound. And the ignition sound too. Anyone spot that?

Probably not since none of us but you have seen it five times.

I have such a weird relationship with this one. At one end i think Abrams is completely laughable as a director/writer and on the other I think he made such a fun movie that i dont care.

Clearly he doesnt have the chops or cahonas that Rian Johnson had.
