CNN just brought up the Gore/Bush thing where Florida was incorrectly called and Gore had to retract his concession to bush.

They want to avoid that chaos so they are being patient and waiting.

The only metric standard stuff we are familiar with is 'Soccer' (Futbol) scores, which have no need for either decimals or thousands.

I only brought this up because the local Belgian did the same thing in this thread, but I believe he used '.' for thousands instead of the ideal universal thousand signifier of a simple space (ie 1 000 000). Easier to read and all that.
