It was contrived and made zero sense
The one who kills the dragon always has a white horse.
Arya will take the face of Dany to manipulate Drogon enough to kill it, most likely with poison.

No way drogon falls for that.

And Arya dies in the attempt.
Why? The dragons have been proven to be pretty dumb in this show.

Drogon smelled Jon back a season or two ago and knew he was Targ

No way he’s falling for a mask

But maybe they try.

And Arya dies

You have no way of proving that Drogon knew that

Dragons in the show are linked almost spiritually to their rider. I also doubt a face mask would fool them

Seem to remember it being one of the big talking points around the episode.

It also felt like she was just crazy. It wasn't a character driven change IMO. It felt less like a change based on the various things she suffered and more like some random genetic defect.

edit: Maybe I'm being overly harsh because fuck this show for fucking up the Night King.
I hate agreeing with hurry Burt.

Is it true that the Night King isn't an actual character in the books?

The nights king is mentioned *drumroll* once in the books.

Or twice. Who cares. He was cool on the show.

This is incredible. The amount of effort is so astounding. They built kings landing in Belfast

It takes a special class of idiot to choose one of those names and then spell it wrong.

Still coming down from this episode. Is the big gripe here that Daenerys turned at all, or that this is just sloppy storytelling to get from A to B?
