Get it. My friends wanted us to do one in December, but we’re skipping it. May do one in the spring though. I’ll probably have to walk half of itepilogue wrote:It was years ago. My last half was 1:59lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I can only dreamepilogue wrote:1:51![]()
I have a feeling this next one will be the first that's over 2 hrs. But whatever. It's about having fun and building up for the marathon next year.
Nice work, Lenlennytheweedwhacker wrote:Did my first dedicated hills run. Surprisingly my legs felt pretty dang good, granted I walked down each time. Struggled more with breathing but what else is new.

My official NYRR race time was 2:00:38. But my Garmin said I hit 13.1 before even getting to the mile 13 marker, which is typical in a race like this that's so wide and twisty.
My watch time was 1:59:20.
Either way, I was right at about 2 hours, which is always my goal. I'm pretty sure this was my slowest half ever but I kinda expected that given the wonky training and minor injuries/soreness.
Had a ton of fun (all that really matters), great weather, and really pushed hard the last two miles.
Now I feel like a truck hit me. I'm still in bed!
Worth it.
Great job! I may do a half in December. It will be at least an hour slowerepilogue wrote:The Staten Island Half went about as expected.
