The entire season spans four years total. There can't be five years between three episode story arcs.

Really? Think I read it somewhere official like in a gilroy interview?
I am confused.

It certainly shortens the amount of time I have to wait if I want to binge.

Yeah. Three eps. Five year jump. Three eps.

Is finishes up exactly as we meet Cassian in rogue one. I’m intrigued how they’re gonna do that.
But the ring of kaffreine is one of the coolest locations ever in Star Wars and always wanted to see more of it. So hopefully he’s there for a while.
That's it? It's a 6 episode season?

12 episodes. 4 weeks. 3 episodes a week.

Been rewatching this with my 10yo (his first time seeing it) and it's just so good. The character development and pacing are probably the best of any SW story. We are about to watch "The Eye" episode and I didn't have 4k/HDR TV before (went from 92" 1080p projector down to 85" 4k mini-LED) so we are in for a treat.

10?
I’ve never considered that. How young could a kid be and still get this show and what’s going on? Hope he likes it Bi. I think there’s enough in it for Star Wars kids to get. Maybe not the prison episodes though ?

Kids 4th grade and up can understand the plot pretty easily, not the necessarily anti-statist and anti-capitalist themes, but the idea of a revolution against a general 'oppressor' in the form of the Empire. We've watched the Hunger Games series and the Firefly movie 'Serenity' and those plots are very similar to Andor.

It’s a worryingly young age to be radicalising your child. But you do you.

I watched whatever I wanted when I was 10. Part of having older brothers.

You were spoiled.
I was the eldest in my house. I wasn’t allowed rent lost boys on vhs when I was 14. (It had a 15 cert here)

My younger brother was watching all sorts of stuff what was the banned one with the nine inch nails soundtrack? California killers? All that kinda thing.

Weirdly I ended up the political one and he’s a moron living in a cupboard.

Halfway through a rewatch of season 1. TONY, WHY CAN’T YOU GIVE US UNOBSTRUCTED EYE. I wanted 30 straight seconds of wall to wall Eye in episode 6.

I’m still madly in love with this show. I’ve been rereading the thread and saw that I thought the music could be a little better. I was wrong about that, having just purchased and listened to the soundtrack, and coming away totally jazzed with it.

If the second season is equally good, it will be an achievement.

Watch this one with my kid on Saturday and he had that big-eyed-sit-up-straight moment when the Eye effect came on the screen. It really is a beautifully imagined and executed episode, gorgeous and thrilling at the same time. Borrowing thematic and stylistic elements from Firefly and Battlestar Galactica really benefit the presentation of Cassian's storyline.

Hot Take: This and Rogue One make me think the choice to maintain and center the idea of "The Force" might actually be the weakness of post original trilogy Star Wars.
