Has Kanye clarified what he meant by that tweet? Is there a chance that, in his own flippant, nonperceptive way, he mistook this instance of a judge throwing out one of Cosby's accusers' accompanying defamation suits as a ruling on Cosby's innocence?

If not, are we really that surprised that a guy who has made so many misogynistic remarks in his music would eventually make one in real life? Do we really think the chasm between art and life is really that wide? To be clear, I'm not suggesting that his tweet ought to provoke less outrage; I'm just wondering if maybe the musical equivalent oughn't provoke more.

Nobody really respects his lyrics so its easy to toss them aside, even if they have a misogynistic message.

Not everyone interprets all that much of what he says as misogynistic, though.

That said, while I get that he's a black man with a persecution complex who admires Cosby, at this point, I have a hard time seeing support for Cosby as anything but misogyny.

Cosby should record some skits for him to put in between tracks on Swishwaveswhatever. I bet they'd be better than the ones on college dropout.
