There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

We get the keys to our new place Friday morning. New fridge being delivered that afternoon, and hopefully our rented furniture as well - still working to line that up. The in laws will drive down with some of our stuff we’ve been storing at their place, along with some dishes and cutlery to use til all our stuff arrives in a couple months, either Friday or Saturday. Then probably Saturday I’ll make a couple runs to our current unit to move what little we have here.

Hopefully some time to explore and enjoy our new hood too, but we’ll see.

Weekend with a bunch of friends at a cabin near Cle Elum.

(Not Suncadia)

I will surely get drunk and spout off what a shit choice we have both for WA governor and US president this year. All these people vote D down the ticket no matter what.

Mrs Wease out of town starting tomorrow. Sat, will take the Weaselings to see a matinee screening of Deadpool. Probably try to mow if it doesn’t rain. It’s rained practically every day since the last mow and the grass is already taller than 2 of the 3 dogs.
