Here for my annual "music my wife likes" post. Ben Bohmer is a German composer/DJ and has put out an album this year called Bloom. It's kinda spacey and smooth and makes for excellent chilled summer vibes.
Here's the song 'Rust' that made me smile today, and I think we could all do with a bit more of that in these interesting times. Not sure who the vocal is by but brings serious shades of Hope Sandoval.

I am finally getting to The Cure’s new album. It’s very good, though the 2-4 minute intros for every single song might grow old very fast.

It's a good lesson in patience and atmosphere!

I was going to make the same post but about his affinity for jam bands.

I contain multitudes.
It’s 2 points: (1) I guess I just treat studio albums and live albums as different entities altogether, and (2) I appreciate a good long intro (see Upper Hand), but I don’t know that I want a studio album of only Upper Hands, even though I thought I did.
Edit: there’s more! I liked the album.

There was an album suggested here at the beginning of the year and I listened to it once and remember really liking it, but I spent this year, like last, mostly focused on the live albums and the new Pearl Jam and I didn’t pick it back up until today. I remembered it basically because I had been keeping a list of albums I enjoyed from this year and thought I should give it another listen. Once again, I was quite impressed. This was The Vaccines’ Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations.

I have not but I should. It’s almost the end of the year where we turn the calendar and completely discard the albums from the year before.

Fontaines and IDLES albums are top of the pile. Wunderhorse is decent too.
