you're not wrong. We have this conversation every 50 pages or so (and just did a week or two ago so fairly recently). The people who need to internalize it generally don't. Some have enough positive qualities to justify pushing through. Like an Andrew Watt mix
I really appreciate you, and dozens of others who contribute.

I wonder if you guys believe that, without the trolls, there would be no discussion? Like you need an idiot to bounce off of.

Whatever the case. Love you all.

Some trolls are incredibly insightful when they focus on not trolling

You generally need to put up with a to have B and C
I would submit that coming on this board and just saying "this song is great!" 7 times a page is just as much trolling as anything else.

It's unfortunate that it's taken 34 years for them to think of forming individual clubs within their fanbase based on song titles. There could have been some pretty great ones over the years.

The Garden Club -- for PJ fans who are also green thumbs
The Animal Club -- for pet owners and wildlife enthusiasts (subgroup: The Leash Club, for dogwalkers)
The Push Me Pull Me Club -- basically fight club
The Sleight of Hand Club -- for aspiring magicians within the PJ fan community
The Getaway Club -- for globetrotting PJ fans to check off travel destinations, stat-tracker style, and share their vacay snaps
The Why Go Club -- for homebodies who don't see the point of the Getaway Club
The Alive Club -- for anyone alive
The Dead Man Club -- for anyone who doesn't meet the criteria for the Alive Club
The Life Wasted Club -- for anyone still reading at this point
I was amused at first, and actually laughed out loud when it got to the Alive club

Are you calling trolls anyone who doesn't like the new stuff and wants to post about it?
And sometimes some people we love struggle to tell the difference between posting behavior that is generally disruptive of creating a shared and reasonably safe and open space everyone can enjoy, and sharing an opinion
You never loved me!

Harmless & Trag, you are two of my favorite posters around here.
Please bring it in, Jamily. We can be so much better than this.

As an aside, very excited by Ruddo's song choices over the past decade and a half. GSMF & Johnny Guitar both criminally underrated...Johnny was one of the last times they truly sounded as though we were having fun without being overwrought.

Still not clicking with the new jazz

Edit: Running club? Can I roll?
sometimes it isn't both sides that are the problem; I promise you it's OK to say "Trag, leave Harmless alone" once in a while
Not casting aspersions nor distributing blame in any direction.
of course you're not, it's much easier to just vaguely say "calm down everyone"
Holy shit, Harmless...WTF is going on? Are you sitting in your place and laughing just to fuck with me or what?

My intention was literally nothing more than to say, "Hey, folks, please, I love you guys (as much as I can people on a forum whom I've never actually met in real-life), let's not fight." That's IT. I'm not trying to minimize feelings. My goal was an (obviously weak) attempt to make people feel good. If that wasn't clear, I don't know what to say.

I'm not crying, or laughing, or having any emotional reaction at all; I'm silently posting in my living room

I'm afraid the approach you took didn't make me feel better about what happened here (and what keeps happening); it doesn't take a genius to see that there was a conflict and say "oh look, a conflict"; Trag is a bully

Running is better than God's Dice

Running is also better than Evacuation

if Evacuation was the second single off Binaural in 2000 this place would have been burned to the ground

I think this is a pretty damn good song.

But regardless, it sounds like a GarageBand demo with programmed drums, then remixed by Mutt Lange on crack.

Devoid of any character whatsoever which also completely negates how hard they are trying to rock.

It sounds dated the first time you listen to it.

I don't know how well it's being received, but I'm sure many people will say that it sounds fine and complain about any criticism ruining their happy fun time and old men yelling at clouds - which now happens with everything that sucks.

Rock and roll is now a shiny object, on display at Claire's.

oh yeah, people really hated Evacuation back in the day...it got voted worst song right?

I dont think Running is better than those two, i dont even get why compare them, they are different beasts.

Now that I’ve heard it in higher resolution I actually disagree with this assessment. It sounds pretty great and in my opinion definitely not “devoid of character.” On Spotify’s highest wifi setting I’m getting a lot of instrument separation and hearing details I couldn’t make out at all before.

Oh come on. Of course it is a fansite. But if we were just giving everything high praises and not talking about the stuff we don't like, we should probably shut it down and all go join the Pit.
