I don't know! But no one else is saying post-Waters either, they're just saying "It doesn't sound like Pink Floyd" and I'm like yes it does.McParadigm wrote:Post-Waters!harmless wrote:Pink Floyd was part of 80s rock and has all of the same features except for some cool unusual ones as well.
I think that it does kinda sound like the Fake Floyd that put out Momentary Lapse and Division Bell. The opening riffs and solo sound very Division Bellishdarth_vedder wrote:We have different takes on what we think about Pink Floyd. I'm not getting that at all, not even a little bit. Yeah, I can definitely get a whiff of Learning to Fly-era PF here. Though that's but one influence in it.harmless wrote:I don't know! I just have the stuff from the 70's + the first Syd Barret album...I really don't know Floyd from the 80's or 90's other than Dogs of War.harmless wrote:I don't know! Post-Waters, indeed. I can hear it to an extent.McParadigm wrote:Post-Waters!harmless wrote:Pink Floyd was part of 80s rock and has all of the same features except for some cool unusual ones as well.
On the studio version or the video version?Chris_H_2 wrote:At what point of the song will all the 8th graders try to feel up their girlfriends during the dance?
Sure. I think Mike said he wrote it after a Waters gig, yeah?McParadigm wrote:Not so much like these:harmless wrote:I don't know! Yeah, elements of these:
Seeing a Roger Waters gig and writing a David Gilmour song is exactly what I'd expect from Mike.harmless wrote:Sure. I think Mike said he wrote it after a Waters gig, yeah?
Sure. It's also Springsteen, filtered through boy bands and Robbie Williams.mray10 wrote:Yeah, I can definitely get a whiff of Learning to Fly-era PF here. Where is this free download. I pre-ordered Lightning Bolt but do not see any free download.B wrote:Same song, but better quality. It's not an alternate take if that's what you mean.Thurman Murman wrote:Is the free download on the main site (if you bought LB) the same as yesterday's leak?

Just did this now: go into your order history, click on your Lightning Bolt pre-order and you should see download links in various formats for a folder that contains both Mind Your Manners and Sirens.gems and rhinestones wrote:Where is this free download. You keep saying these things, and they're not good things.harmless wrote:Sure.
