Apocalypse was a bit of a let down though..he wasnt that scary...still a good villain. But Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Jean..they were great. Magneto was great...Psylocke and Storm were promising....and the end with the full team on costumes was amazing.

Seems like all of the comic book movies have really struggled with villains.

Kind of relieved to hear some of the audience feedback as I really enjoyed First Class and Days of Future Past, both I thought were well done, would be a shame to see another X3-like debacle.

How was Jean Grey? I am not a fan of the actress, and was a bit disappointed in the casting

I did not like First Class at all. I thought DOFP was a well-executed but fundamentally boring thing (at the time I really enjoyed it, but cooled on it a lot when I rewatched it later. Which may also happen with Apocalypse).

I remember having no idea what the hell was going on in DOFP.

I've had that reaction with almost all the x movies. By and large Bryan singer is not a great set piece director

X men 2 remains as a favorite...And Apocalypse might be a little behind, but it was a lot of fun.

Xmen is the Tony Romo of film franchises.
It's never going to blow the doors off the box office, but it does well enough that they'll never fire Singer and start over either.
It's depressing.
I can't disagree.

They're enjoyable flicks with some problems.
I always thought X-Men would make a great TV series.

It would work really well as a TV show as it would give you a chance to get to know the characters. These movies just throw as many characters on the screen as they can.

X-Men Apocalypse is definitely not as bad as the bad reviews are claiming it to be.
Yeah, it has some problems, yeah theres a lot of characters with not enough time to shine...
I thought it was a perfect continuation to the story theyve been telling over the last few movies.
My only real complaints, is that the Horsemen were SO weak. Angle gets knocked out right away, Psylocke gets knocked out pretty quick, Storm only fights for a few mins, then hides out the rest of the fight till she switches sides. Magneto tries to destroy the world but he too switches sides. So two of his henchmen switch sides? Why not just have Magneto off in seclusion refusing to save the world, and show up at the end fight? And... they did such a nice drawn out set up to Jean beating Apocalypse, but it took Storms lightning bolt to stop him from escaping? Storm, should have switched sides first, and then finally Jean shows up to stop him.
