Come on Sergio, make a statement and take the first race from Max.

I realize Leclerc has mechanical issues today; but he always seems to have mechanical issues
Sainz is again the stronger driver
obv Hamilton has epic skill and is a huge draw
but not clear to me Sainz is what is holding this team back
a lot of other teams likely happy to have him

Felt very similar to last year. Max won, Perez second, even after a poor weekend. Ferrari second best team. Mercedes and McLaren up there. Aston not a million miles behind. Albon outclassing Sargeant. Biggest difference is that Alpine seems worse, but they were not terrible in the race, just poor.

you're right
but i just like to sound big sometimes
...
agree that Alpine is basically the only noticeable difference this year v. last year
will be interesting to see how / whether anything changes
i feel like Ferrari has a lot more downside risk than other teams
expectations were set higher

at least the show producers know not to dwell on Max
he's like an afterthought at these things
that said - wtf is with Max finishing 22 seconds faster than Checo?
i know Max is good but they must be fucking with Checo's car at least a little for that level of a difference

Will be interesting to see if it will be similar next weekend, and what if anything will be different.

Danny Ric v. Yuki subplot could get more spicey
Yuki was pissy today
Alpine implosion could be entertaining

Danny may sport a big smile but I wouldn't put him above some good ol' fashioned midget tossing.

Not surprised. They really need to do something at Alpine. They should be a top five constructor.

Why is it news that Verstappen's dad won't be at the next race? I know he doesn't like some people in the organization, but who cares?
