It's very likely that Texas has more cases simply based on the population difference alone. Testing numbers arent real.

Ok, I’m not arguing that. New York/NorthEast had a unique experience last Spring. Looks like some other places might see what it was like.

If mitigations fail, you can always blame the people. If you don't act and people continue to die you get the heat and nothing to absolve yourself.

The South Dakota gov took the “freedom” route and they have a high death toll. But she’ll probably be ok, politically. So maybe the politicizing is already built in. I dunno. I’m very optimistic overall but the “darkest before the dawn” storyline seems to be the reality bearing down on us.
