Ran the NYRR Brooklyn Half yesterday. The humidity was pretty overwhelming. First time I've ever walked part of the race. But I'm glad I did, because there were so many medical emergencies on the course. Saw one dude pass out and spectators called for police help. Saw another loaded into an ambulance. Saw another getting oxygen from med team. A friend of a friend went into cardiac arrest. Someone died, apparently (found out hours after the fact). It was nuts.
Listen to your body out there, runners. Take care of yourselves.

I passed a guy three times running opposite directions on a small loop today. On the third time, he reached out for a high five and we totally connected. Pretty cool feeling.
