That's bizarre. What do you hate about it? It's been a long time since I've seen it but I remember liking it quite a bit, particularly the direction.
Virtually every aspect of the film. The performances were wooden. The script was trite when it wasn't confusing. The dialogue hurt, physically hurt me. The pace was so off. I'm not certain what the point was. I felt sick, something about the movie made me feel sick to my stomach. I just wanted it to be over. It thinks its so fucking clever and it's just obvious. I don't know, man. I just wanted to run screaming from the theater.
I just didn't care at all about any of the people or the action.
I suppose the shots were well done enough, overall.

I don't disagree with you. I've heard sometimes that subliminal messaging can have that affect. Maybe some joker Tyler Durdened the film really poorly and that's why I was angry and nauseous and headachy.
Because all that went away as soon as we got out of theater and we talking about it at Steak N Shake. Either way, I didn't like the movie.
