Naturally enough if he doesn’t like something he’s just not as effusive and engaged with it.
It’s a good thing too coz if he really let rip on something he didn’t like it would scald the ears off anyone who did like it and they’d have absolutely no come back.

I'm just so hungry for intelligent, civil discourse. I'm not as interested in agreeing with someone as I am with thoughtful discourse. And there are few out there who are as thoughtful and articulate.

He can be pigheaded to the point of offence sometimes too.
Couple of TABA episodes he really got high horsey and turned a lot of people off.
Think it was insisting balrogs have no wings and there’d are no such thing as stone giants in middle earth. Despite Tolkien writing them into the books and even doing paintings of them.
Alastair wasn’t even being compromising about it like ‘it’s completely fine if they do exist in your fandom and your middle earth, they just don’t really have a place’
He was hardcore these things do not exist I am right and Fuck you.

It was surprising and offputting and made for really difficult listening.

Good thing I'm not a LotR fan, then.

What a headline.

Can The $1.3B-Grossing 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Recover After Bombing In China?

"Oh no. What a problem. We only made 1.3B dollars. Boohoo."

All of Scott Mendelson's headlines regarding The Last Jedi come off as weirdly defensive in an unnecessary way

I'm so bored by this conversation. No your fault, bune. I'm not blasting you. I'm just so tired of this in general.

A lot of people are defensive of TLJ. Searched on twitter today for random stuff about the movie, and a good amount of the posts/tweets were people defending the movie. Not saying how much they liked it, but saying that those that don't are wrong.

I'm just so over the narrative. The 2nd biggest domestic opening weekend EVER, plus 1.3 BILLION worldwide on an estimated $200 million budget... it's absurd. The movie was a monetary success. The movie was a critical success. I just don't understand how anyone can reframe it alternative language. But I'm not a Hollywood Insider. Maybe Disney is super pissed. But I can't understand that on any level.
