So advising him like through his TV show in a weird Max Headroom thing or like actually on the phone? Because I like the first one better, imagining Trump talking to him like he's actually there.

This is why I think the memo will be successful regardless of its contents:
He's being a very conventional autocrat in a fairly unconventional setting. This is just the longer way to ensure Trump loyalists staff the upper levels of the Justice Department and FBI.
