What's the next regarding Lightning Bolt that we're looking forward to? What is this big announcement some people talk about?

I'm kind of embarrassed at my posting lately, that's all. So sometimes I open this thread and I just staaaaaaare. (But I'm still alive.)

That was a Bridge School announcement I think, not PJ (hence nothing I'm excited about).

If I like the second single, the real possibility that I'm in with a chance of liking this album goes up.

though i most likely wont listen to the next single unless its lightning bolt since ive already heard that

Yeah I guess I've committed to that too. If it's LB or FD, I'm on it. I'm looking forward to reading opinions, though, unless everyone is going to pretend they hate it.

Time for some speculating. The album might break down like this for me (All speculation stemming from the reviews and the three songs we already know):

Sirens - Might be beautiful or a huge cheese-fest.
Sleeping By Myself - I love the Uke song but the reviews are so bad. I'm still tending towards good.

I'll be incredibly happy if its going to be like that.

I'm the same as this, except that I hope to put MYM and Getaway up on the top category. Musically I'm expecting Getaway to have elements of older songs, but I think that accusation is overplayed; PJ has always written songs containing elements of older ones. I'm still liking what I'm hearing in terms of arrangement, and interplay between Matt and Jeff.

i think those are the exact impressions i get from what i read, but i think the only reason people might be a little undecided on sirens is because of all the talk of it even before we knew for sure it was on the album, ill be its a fantastic song, but nothing can live up to the hype some of us create

Brendan O'Brien made such a stupid move, saying it was the best song the band has ever written. If it is, wonderful, but it won't be; all it will be is a 5-minute masterclass in BO'B's music taste, which will backfire on him.
