not to take anything away from the quality of some conferences, but my point is that it shouldn't generally be considered impressive when 80% of your conference teams make bowl games when like 80% of the teams in FBS make bowl games.

I thought a team had to win 6 games to be bowl eligible. Did that change? Or is that wrong?

They have to make exceptions because there are so many awful bowl games

I have a lot of pet peeves in sports currently, but the glut of bowl games may be at the top of that list. Nothing is special anymore.

I'm so glad Mizzou turned down a bowl bid. A 5-7 team has no business being in a bowl.

neither does a 6-6 team, especially if they're scheduling cream puffs at the start of the season

I'm amazed that Boise has been able to be a bowl city for almost 20 years now despite this being a terrible location to play a bowl game.

Did the Independence Bowl finally move? That's like the granddaddy of bad bowl games.

it's all about the blue turf

it still has to be better than that stupid game they play in detroit every year featuring the basement dwellers of the big ten and some mac school. this year it's a 5-7 minnesota team vs. central michigan. go chips!
