Maybe it'll be full of Stone riffs that sound straight outta the early 90's.

Stone speaks up, then runs here and to the pit to laugh his ass off as we wonder what that means, and the pit celebrates and declares the next album will sound like Ten and Vs. on steroids. Facebook loses its shit and here we are - waiting another for an album we know nothing about, complain about nonetheless, and comedy ensues.

An Earthling style album with Gossard/Ament/Mccready should be good.

I dont care if its a rock album, a slower album, a looking for different sounds kind of album.


As long as they commit to it fully.

This record sucks. I’m already past it and waiting for number 13. THAT’s gonna be the game changer for sure.

Hey! Maybe since we keep hearing Andrew Watt is a super fan, maybe he will insist on that double album some of us have convinced ourselves is the uncharted waters they need to explore. Full of real excess and bloat.

They did debut Lightning Bolt and Future Days (?) at Wrigley before the album came out, but that was a finished product awaiting release. They typically just haven’t been very willing to share what’s kicking around at least it seems since the Vs. tour with any regularity.

True they did this more early in career but there have been surprises and I think another one might be in store. At the end of the day, though, they are just gonna do what they want to do.

That was wildly out of character in so many ways. They liked that song so much that they preview it at a few shows, it is enthusiastically received, and then they don't bother putting it on the next 2 albums. Just weird. I think it would have been great on Gigaton too. Stick it between Retrograde and River Cross... beautiful.
