There's some pretty bad stuff here but I like both Gonna See My Friend and Amongst the Waves.
Spenno. Question for you totally ot. A pal of mine you know was saying aussies are bone deep racist and myopic and no way will they vote for marriage equality it's a step too far and then endless rants about the government there being proof of that and a postal vote just proves it. Where do you see it going?Birds in Hell wrote:There's some pretty bad stuff here but I like both Gonna See My Friend and Amongst the Waves.
Cool. I'm just Askin cos the no campaign there have flown out the 'spokespeople' that effectively lost the no campaign in Ireland to help them in the Aussie campaign. These guys literally won us a Yes with the most ignorant backward fear mongering nonsense imaginable. (If we allow gay marriage kids won't have a mother and father! / kids will be forced to learn gay sex education in school!) etc.Birds in Hell wrote:I expect people will overwhelmingly vote for marriage equality, something the Prime Minister himself has openly stated he supports (so the government is against it, er, how...?)
The latter; this "vote" is essentially just a national voluntary survey.dimejinky99 wrote:What's the process if the vote is yes? You guys gonna have a referendum? Or act of parliament follwong the vote?

Of course they will. We have a (broadly speaking) right-of-centre government where the Prime Minister and party leader is a vocal advocate for the "yes" vote and where the remainder of the party, barring a few disproportionately vocal malcontents, is largely of the same view. I really have no doubts that the "yes" vote will win comfortably and that a same-sex marriage bill will be passed into law very soon after.dimejinky99 wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:The latter; this "vote" is essentially just a national voluntary survey.dimejinky99 wrote:What's the process if the vote is yes? Will they follow through in it though?

There are a lot of great songs on this album. I think Supersonic is actually underrated.evenslow wrote:it's that strat/slow wavelength that can't be fucked with.Strat wrote:HOly shit.evenslow wrote:what used to be a house of cards has turned into a reservoir.
