It feels that way. Despite that not having changed, I'm liking our lineup right now. Both Ellsbury and Varitek have been outperforming Speaker and Fisk.

And Cy Young, despite not getting a win today, threw 6 shutout innings.

Young desperately needed a good outing to stay in the rotation.

Also, Wade Boggs desperately needed that performance as well. He's been lucky we don't have another 3B option.

I'm starting to think we should have carried Petrocelli because of both Boggs and Nomar.

Hindsight. Boggs will be fine and Nomar is now hitting above .300.
