I've no idea. I hadn't been there in almost a year, until rumours of a tour dates started up.
To be honest, PJ has been back-burner with my listening habits of late. But, I'd love a new album, and that would reignite some interest in them again.

I hope your hunch proves well-founded, I'd be very happy for an album of offcasts from the last few records.
It would fit in with the surprisingly extensive touring plans rumoured for next year too, would seem like too many shows for a quick tour without anything to promote.

It's on the last few pages of the PJ25 Tour rumors thread, but if sarcasm is allowed over there, I wouldn't put too much into it.

-The current SA tour happening so long after LB
-The Avocado leaks. As I posited in the original Avocado leaks thread, those tracks must have been making their way through a recording studio at the time of a leak, for them to arrive that much later after their original recording/mixing.
-The fact that the band hasn't been spending enough time together to be working up a proper album of new recordings.
Southern Tracks closed in June.

True, but I'm sure O'Brien is still open for business somewhere in Atlanta.

Brendan O'Brien works from LA for a couple of years now:

But perhaps some mastertapes were still stored somewhere in Atlanta..
They did some recording for No Code and Yield there. So perhaps another reissue..

I'd be happy with anything but a new album would be best. LD 2 could be great if there were actually new songs on it.

if LD II came with higher quality recordings of stuff we already have I think I would need about 6 new songs to prefer it to a new album

I'm down with another Lost Dogs collection. Especially if the can give us better quality versions that haven't been tinkered with so much.
Of course, I'm down with a new album, too.
I'd even take the No Code/Yield reissue at this point.
