U.S. Republican Senator John McCain on Sunday urged President-elect Donald Trump to accept that Russia interfered in November's presidential election.

"The facts are there," McCain said in a television interview on CBS "Face the Nation."
Good for McCain for not only sticking to his guns on this, but also indirectly shitting on this Republican "gee I don't know the CIA hasn't publicly shared and they won't in the future so I'll feign uncertainty" defense.

Intelligence Agencies Distressed by Trump's Rejection of Findings on Russia

"Even more damaging are comments that impugn the tens of thousands of Americans who are at work every day of the year, many in great physical danger, to protect us and to provide our national leadership — regardless of political party — with the best information possible,"

We're living in an oscar worthy film.

"It is curious that someone who refuses to take intelligence briefings has decided that he doesn't agree with the analysis contained in them," the former official said.

God. My penis tingles when I think about a small chance that trump won't actually get to be president.

well fortunately I don't think Putin is a madman that wants to destroy America

he is just broke and needs to make more money

Russia's economy is in the toilet between the sanctions and $40-ish oil

what's almost scarier than a totally malleable US President is a Valdimir Putin facing bankruptcy with his back totally against the wall and an arsenal of nukes

now instead he can make some cash and maybe take a balkan or two and then 4 years from now when we have a real president again he can just go back to squeezing blood from the grapes of his own people but will have more in his piggy bank then to ride it out

Interestingly, CNN is a little less over the top in their reporting on this:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/11/politics/ ... index.html
Motives unclear

The FBI hasn't concluded that the RNC itself was directly breached, a law enforcement official said Sunday. FBI investigators did find that a breach of a third-party entity that held data belonging to the RNC. But the data appears to have been outdated and of little value to the hackers. The FBI also found that some conservative groups and pundits were hacked. The FBI also hasn't found conclusive evidence to show that it was done to help Trump. "At this point, there appears to have been a combination of motivations," one US law enforcement official said. "They wanted to sow discord and undermine our systems. It's clear not even the Russians thought he would win."

Officials familiar with the briefings given to Congress say the CIA assessment wasn't as definitive as has been portrayed in news reports this weekend. The agency developed new information in recent weeks, based on intelligence sources, which prompted a new assessment of the Russian hack. That assessment "leans" toward the view that the Russians were trying to hurt Clinton and help Trump. But the CIA assessment wasn't definitive, the officials said.

Beyond the specific targets of the hacks, American officials cite broad evidence that Mr. Putin and the Russian government favored Mr. Trump over Mrs. Clinton.

After demonstrators marched through Moscow in 2011 chanting “Putin is a thief” and “Russia without Putin,” Mr. Putin publicly accused Mrs. Clinton, then the secretary of state, of instigating the protests. “She set the tone for some actors in our country and gave them a signal,” he said.

More generally, the Russian government has blamed Mrs. Clinton, along with the C.I.A. and other American officials, for encouraging anti-Russian revolts during the 2003 Rose Revolution in Georgia and the 2004 Orange Revolution in Ukraine. What Americans saw as legitimate democracy promotion, Mr. Putin saw as an unwarranted intrusion into Russia’s geographic sphere of interest, as the United States once saw Soviet meddling in Cuba.

By contrast, Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin have had a very public mutual admiration society. In December 2015, the Russian president called Mr. Trump “very colorful” — using a Russian word that Mr. Trump and some news outlets mistranslated as “brilliant” — as well as “talented” and “absolutely the leader in the presidential race.” Mr. Trump called Mr. Putin “a strong leader” and further pleased him by questioning whether the United States should defend NATO members that did not spend enough on their militaries.

A senior American law enforcement official said the F.B.I. believed that the Russians probably had a combination of goals, including damaging Mrs. Clinton and undermining American democratic institutions. Whether one of those goals was to install Mr. Trump remains unclear to the F.B.I., he said.

The official played down any disagreement between the F.B.I. and the C.I.A., and suggested that the C.I.A.’s conclusions were probably more nuanced than they were being framed in the news media.

The F.B.I. and federal prosecutors have already gone aggressively after Russian hackers, including two men detained in Thailand and the Czech Republic whom the United States is trying to extradite.

Russia has tried to block those efforts and has accused the United States of harassing its citizens.
Meanwhile, over at Fox News...

Officials: China flew nuclear-capable bombers around Taiwan
China flew a long-range nuclear-capable bomber outside China for the first time since President-elect Donald Trump spoke with the president of Taiwan, two US officials told Fox News.

The dramatic show of force was meant to send a message to the new administration, according to the officials. It marks the second time Beijing flew bombers in the region since Trump was elected.
Im surprised Trump hasn't tweeted a dick pic to them yet.

That's what I'm thinking. "Real unemployment" is basically the portion of people who could be working but aren't. Sounds like Trump is including children, the elderly, and the physically incapacitated. What a dope.
