Nope. Freese is the man.
warehouse wrote:who's drumming with queens of the stone age?
Jon Theodore. Queens on their worst day still shit all over Foo Fighters, so I hope he stays put!
bada wrote:A little nervous they are gonna steal the Darkness drummer.
Seems like there's a good chance of this happening.
liebzz wrote:Jason Bonham. I have spoken.
I guess he has that legacy dad rock connection, which Dave would be all about.

Don’t think Jon Theodore is the right fit for Queens. Would like to be proved wrong by their next album

I definitely think he’d be a good fit.

Read some Reddit rumours that the Foo's will release a new album on the 25th of march. That would be exactly one year after Taylor's passing.

I still think Josh Freese will be their new drummer, because it would be a great fit. But somehow I think it would be totally a FF thing to release this album with guest drummers only. They will probably announce a docu on TH saying he can't be replaced and therefor recorded this album with guest drummers like Shane Hawkins, Josh Freese, Rufus Taylor, Nandi, Chad Smith, Ringo Starr, Jason Bonham and Dave himself or something like that...

Wait, they didn't retire? Someone on here said Grohl would never play music again.

warehouse wrote:ugh this is shocking. the guy seems to be universally loved and always happy performing. 'down to earth' gets said a lot, but hawkins looked like he understood how lucky he was to be doing what he was doing for a living. obviously feel terrible for the band and crew, but i really feel bad for dave grohl. i wouldn't blame him for retiring and disappearing from public life.

everything you are talking about was dave grohl before taylor's death. i have no idea how this is actually going to effect dave grohl, but as a human i would understand him wanting his space after losing his best friend. maybe i'm wrong and being mega-famous is going to be part of his grieving process, but i think at his age and point in his career he wouldn't want to tour. has he spoken publicly at all? i saw pics of him with other musicans at jazzfest, but that's it.

Happy to wage you literally any amount of money Dave Grohl is playing arenas again in heavy, heavy, fashion within 3 years from now - more likely within 12 months.

Shit, they already doing 2 shows next month as a "tribute".

And I don't fault him for it. It's his whole life. He should stop because his best friend died?
:haha: what are you, illiterate?
Is your only comeback telling people they can't read? Seems to be a pattern.

holy shit, is this weirdo bored or what? its just you, g2t. i think you work better with numbers than letters. but thanks, you can see i had speculated about dave grohl retiring. well, most people can. you've already demonstrated you don't understand basic english. did you even read what you quoted? the only thing i said for certain is "i have no idea how this is actually going to effect dave grohl" great job lol
