These are all duds for sure. I get some enjoyment out of the rest of the songs but track listing and production certainly make it tough for me to listen to the album in full

I think Yellow Moon and Sleeping By Myself are the only tracks I'm not embarrassed to like.

the general lack of consensus about what the best songs are on Lighting Bolt and Backspacer continues to be fairly striking. It means something, but I'm not sure what.

I've decided that I'd rank backspacer ahead of lighting bolt, although Mind Your Manner is my favorite song from both albums.

I really don't get the disdain for Swallowed Whole. It sounds like classic PJ to me. In the same vein as MFC or something like that....

I like it a lot. Pearl Jam covers R.E.M. That's the vibe I get.

Getaway, mym, mfs, and yellow moon are all A songs.

Then sirens and lb..and sw too are great.

BUT future days is their worst song ever.

Somehow this album has had good staying power. I still listen to it alot, but I will say it lacks greatness. Getway is as good as a boring Pearl Jam song can be so in that regard it is a logical extention of The Fixer. MYM is 5 star song trapped in 4 star production less would have been more. MFS is nice. Sirens well we all hear them don't we. Lightbolt this song is so confusing I guess it the versus are amazing in fact the the first Verse is epic. The second is good the outro verse/ bridge thing again epic. Then the chorus blows chunks all over the whole thing. Infalliable
smells like teen spirit and not in a good way this could have been a Taylor Swift and Kayne West duet. Pendulm goes back and forth. Swallowed Hole is cool. Let the Records play has grown on me even though it sounds like a Shania Twain song. The next two are magic, but not in away I need to hear much. I don't hate Future Days and I liked it alot live. The organ is much better ya I said it Boom made a song better.

That is a sorrowful bunch of keepers. But if there were much stronger tracks around them it'd make a very good album.

Getaway, MFS, Infallible, Pendulum and YM are all great. MYM and Sirens are very good. All the rest are good or above average. The only one I don't care for is FD. This hasn't changed from when the album was released. Overall, LB is still 4th on my rankings.

The songs I don't like as much as I did when it was first released: LB, LTRP.
The songs I like better now: Sirens, SW.
