Just what’s happened before. Listening to my favourite SW pod today and they were going over numbers (no guide at all IMO) and reaction to the previous trilogies and how it’s all matching up to exactly what’s happened in the previous two trilogies in terms of box office and reaction both critically and among fans.
(Apparently some critics said AOTC was better than empire???) but same with reactions to empire and ROTJ which apparently is the lowest earner of the entire saga?
This last one is just such a lot. I mean it’s packed. I think we’ll be far more forgiving of it in time is all. I was winded and bewildered by it too bit I’m far more forgiving than ost here maybe.
Took me ages to get into rogue one and everyone else here claiming it’s genius right off.
Just feel it’ll come round when we have it at home and can watch em all

Find me three legitimate critics that said AotC was better than Empire.

It’s clearly not, but the pt is still underrated around here.

I think Rise Of Skywalker will end up doing $1150 worldwide.

I think a lot of that is pretty fair, honestly. There are some really cool set pieces in AOTC, and the CG scale of the final battle is pretty amazing (even if it did kick off the snap zoom craze that I loathe with every fiber of my being).
