He seems like a nice guy, but I still hope he never gets to write another Star Wars movie.

He’s writing a new trilogy. And nobody is forcing you or anyone to spend their money seeing it.

My personal use of money doesn't matter in this context, but I do have hope for future Star Wars movies that I will love. The chance of that is probably a lot smaller with him writing the movies.dimejinky99 wrote:Anders wrote:He seems like a nice guy, but I still hope he never gets to write another Star Wars movie.

That sounded cranky sorry Anders I didn’t mean it to.Anders wrote:My personal use of money doesn't matter in this context, but I do have hope for future Star Wars movies that I will love. Be Hopeful. Amazing or awful they won’t damage the Star Wars films you do love. I hated the prequels for years and just chose not to watch them. They didn’t have to exist in my world. I came around to them in a long long time and appreciate a lot about them but they didn’t damage ‘my’ Star Wars.
All the vocal haters of these new films seem to somehow think it’s damaging their Star Wars. Just don’t watch them. You’ll always have the OT or the prequels or whatever.
Tbh I jono a majority of these haters are come from that old EU crowd. A really sizeable and vocal contingent that have waged war on Star Wars and Disney ever since the old eu was dropped. They’re just transferring it all into the new films cos they know the EU is gone and never being brought back in.

I don’t really identify with the EU fanbase, never have. I’ve always loved Lucas’ Star Wars, even when it was not at all popular to do so. Telling me not to watch a Star Wars movie is like saying I shouldn’t listen to the new Pearl Jam album, impossible. However, I am very hopeful for future SW, even for episode nine.dimejinky99 wrote:That sounded cranky sorry Anders I didn’t mean it to.Anders wrote:My personal use of money doesn't matter in this context, but I do have hope for future Star Wars movies that I will love. So Luke goes to kill Ben in his sleep and Ben wrecks shop and goes against the Jedi way.
Yet Hux tries to kill him in his sleep and yeah no big deal.
EVERYTHING IN THIS FILM IS A LIE

Apparently the Y Wing was stopped because the B wing and X wing between them replaced it. That makes no sense, about as much sense as the A wing and Y wing between them replacing the X wing.
Ah well, my wish for episode 9? A sand person is 1 of the good guys...

So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.

The Last Jedi was nominated in the categories of Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Original Score, and Best Visual Effects. Traditionally, the Star Wars franchise has been a favorite for the Oscars. After A New Hope was released in 1977, every movie in the original trilogy scored multiple nominations, and even the prequel movies each received at least one. In 2017, Rogue One was nominated for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Mixing while The Force Awakens received five nods in 2016.

It certainly has a real shot and deserves Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. Though, is Dunkirk nominated in those categories, too? Because that will probably win at least one of those if it is.

IM BACK BITCHES!!!
Im nursing an idea
The island is the location of the first Jedi temple and the pool with the mosaic is a depiction of the first/prime Jedi. This we know.
What if Luke’s projection and the battle were sorta force beamed into the minds of every force sensitive person in the galaxy. And Luke was using the island which seems to be a kind of force amplifier, to do it and rekindle the Jedi and let all those force capable to come and get trained by Rey?
If there is a time jump and we think there will be, she could have a whole army of padewans by the start of 9.

And if the Knights of Ren are still a thing, Kylo could have an army too. Maybe we'll get a massive, multi-Force user battle.

Yep. There’s a rumour / supposed leak saying it’s a ten year time jump.
That’s more than enough time for both to build a squad.
Plus a big force battle at the end would be totally new way to end things.

It's way too early to start listening to any supposed or rumored information.
