Not that Ian McKellan isn't a treasure, but is he a doctor in a respiratory center or a resident of a long-term care facility? Exactly how much vaccine does England have?

Pence and Biden are getting it this week. Well ahead of any health care workers here in my area.

I think they’re being super conservative about the vaccine availability, to temper expectations. I’ve heard of employees who are admin and not in the ER or wards getting jabbed.

Seems the UK is giving these to elderly out of the gate. On day one, an old guy was interviewed on the street after getting jabbed. Said he just called up the nearest hospital and they said come on down.

I'm sure that happens. Long before we shipped all health departments and hospitals were asking if they could move onto their lower risk employees after their high risk were done.

The answer was, "No, you need to offer this vaccine to high risk healthcare providers who don't work for you."

I'm totally sure that's what they're doing.

If this is what you do, you should probably look into that.

I'm pretty sure that I'll have the authority to make them sign a Provider Improvement Plan after we're allowed to visit them in person and review their records.

You talking about that old British guy? He was hilarious. I love how he bitched about his lunch.

I don’t remember him talking about lunch, just that he was looking forward to seeing his grandkids around Xmas time.

No one's on anything. Don't mistake my knowledge for any sort of authority.

so once these vials are sent to medical facilities, that's when the oversight ends?

mmmmmm .... that's an oversimplification, but it's close. At least with respect to adherence to the tiers.

I don't suspect that Dr. John's kid is getting the vaccine, but they're are surely being liberal with their definition of high-risk healthcare providers.

Are you going to run the country if our ancient president gets covid and dies? People need to get over this.

I don't care who gets it first. I was just pointing it out to B that his example wasn't isolated. Rich and famous people will get it first. Wait until pro athletes start getting it before teachers, etc.

Tom Brady doesn't need it. He doesn't eat nightshades.
