Took the morning off to look at a car for my son who is looking at getting a 4WD now that he's "out bush" so to speak. He'd already spotted the car so I just had to pick it up, drive it literally all the way from the northern suburbs to the southern suburbs and back so my mechanic bestie could check it out, and provide my feedback.

Its a 2016 Ranger 4WD with only 72,000 kms on the clock. It looks like the literal one owner car that's never been really off road, but has all the kit pre-installed. Bullbar, spotties, tray liner, tonneau cover, upgraded wheels, underbody guards, catch can, secondary fuel filter. Even the info system is a touchscreen and is actually really good, even without Android auto/Apple car play. Stereo sounded damn good to (Ridley and WCT's Alone and Far Away 2000 tour comp was the test album!).

Looks like he's getting himself a damn good car here, although they screwed him a bit on his trade in. But whatever.

the one I have now is about 6 years old or so and the battery only lasts about 1/2 day instead of the 3 days it used to take..

Got to see the northern lights over my house tonight. Pure amazing.
The whole sky as far south as Italy and Florida was lit up as there’s a massive solar storm going on and huge ejections.

It’s still happening right now so go outside and look up.
More expected tonight and possibly tomorrow night.

We tried to see them but couldn’t. But then all of Mrs Wease’s friends started posting their pictures of them. So she was very pissed. Apparently, seeing them is a bucket list item for her. We didn’t even see them when we went to Alaska a couple years back.

We might have seen it on Saturday, but may have also been the sunset reflecting on the clouds - then it completely clouded over for the weekend, so no joy here
