i thought the part of that scene where they continued to play on ridiculing edmure was a little too kitschy for my tastes.

Yeah, I kept wondering if any of those made it out. Also was curious why Jon's lineage wasn't brought up with the electoral college.
Because, like a great many, many, many threads of this epic story... those things ultimately didn't matter. And that's part of what I'm thinking about/struggling with regarding this show and how it ended.

Same. Feels like a lot of the build up with the NK, with R+L=J, etc... didn't matter.

It does feel that way. Honestly, I'm having a hard time working through what the point was in bringing Jon back from the dead in the first place.

I was really hoping Arya would hand out some punishment. Instead the Unsullied and the Dothraki got to keep on doing whatever they wanted.

again, i think you can attribute 90% of this nonsense to the showrunners' bizarre choice to abbreviate the last two seasons.

i just don't understand why you'd put so many countless resources and time into something where you meticulously pour your heart and soul into it, only to have your give-a-shitter break at the end which colors everything you accomplished up until that point.

Totally.

Here are a few more questions I have...

1. We just spent time learning how the unsullied aren't taking prisoners, but then when Jon kills their leader, THAT'S when they decide to take a prisoner? Why not execute him on the spot?
2. Why did Varys, Tyrion, Davos, the North, etc.. support Jon UNTIL he stabbed Dany? Literally everyone was begging him to take the throne, and then they all were like, "ugh, I don't know who to choose...." when it came time to pick the next ruler.
3. Why didn't Drogon torch Jon? The throne didn't stab his mom.
4. Why didn't Dany have any guards around her?
5. Why would ANYONE want Bran to be king, after being totally unhelpful and uncaring toward everyone around him the past 3 or 4 seasons?
6. Why did Bran WANT to be king at all, after having lost all interest in the world around him?
7. What happened to the Dothraki? Did they just pack up and leave, off screen?
8. Why would Yara Greyjoy have more loyalty to the queen instead of the house (Stark) her brother died defending?
9. Does Jon killing Dany fulfills the Azor Azahi prophecy?

Exactly. This is why I'm really starting to believe those "whispers" out there that this is all Star Wars' fault.
Spoiler: show
I'm only half kidding

Agreed. Season 7 should have been the full 10 episodes ending with Battle of Winterfell. Leave it on a cliffhanger then wrap it up episode 1 Season 8. If they wanted a shorter season fine, but at least we would have gotten like 3 additional episode which would have helped develop and finish all these story lines. It was all just too rushed and it didn't have to be. That and Jon should not have been outcast.
