You should really stop with this bandwagon shit. I watched 50+ games the year they were tanking for the Barnes pick. I could never follow them before league pass. Those endless Klay postups still haunt my dreams.

Honestly though I think I'm cool with that. I side with players almost exclusively now, and Durant just did what Lebron did previously to try and win a championship so he could stop hearing about it. Being a Hawks fan, the NBA is completely about stars, those that have them and those that don't. I'm fine with players having some freedom, but it has NCAAd the regular season and the playoffs. It's just where we are. There aren't enough stars for competitive balance, and a lot of GM's and coaches simply aren't that proficient.

For a couple of years the NBA was great again, maybe this will eventually work out.

I'm fascinated to see how the new CBA will affect teams resigning veterans to massive deals. There will surely be a trickle down effect.

They have a "they have LeBron so they always have a chance" chance, but that doesn't strike me as a great chance against this team.

They had LeBron last night and it didn't matter. LeBron had way too many turnovers, but he looked engaged to me. Series is already over.

It will be tough for LeBron to be LeBron when he's forced to be totally engaged on both sides of the ball. Other guys will need to play much better.

The NBA was way better when all the teams had a chance between 1980 and 2014 when 9 different franchises split 34 titles.

The NBA has ALWAYS been this way. How the teams are constructed now just has some of the power in the hands of the players.

This is a good point and gets overlooked. Understanding it is different eras, Boston won eight in a row from 1959-1966 and I think 11 of 13 during that rough time period.

GSW have won four titles total, one being most recently in 2015. I think I'd get upset/bitch if they really start stringing together title after title after title, but streaks like that require a lot of luck.

In 2017 there was literally no point in even having the playoffs. I guess that's just been business as usual for the last 20 years and I didn't realize it? It's super interesting a pistons fan is pointing this out given the 04 pistons took out a super team. There is no chance anything like that would have happened this year.
