It's kinda funny that Michael Jackson wanted to make a song about spooky ghosts and werewolves and everyone just nodded and said ok and it was a massive success.

Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley is pretty fucked up because while it’s kinda/sorta a love song he also talking shit to the love interest subject in the song.
“A full commitment is what I’m thinking of. You wouldn’t get this from any other guy.”
Wow.

my favourite abusive love lyrics are Ronan Keating's "You say it best when you say nothing at all" (shut up girl and get in the car!) and N*Sync's "I don't care who you are, where you're from, what you did, as long as you love me"

pink floyd's "great gig in the sky" is just the absolute worst.

Jorge was right. Your taste in music is broken.

You want to know what "a spellbinding non-lexical vocal performance by the angelic Clare Torry" means to me, you little bitch?

They have one truly great album and the rest is a wash, is my estimation, but I haven't listened to them with any seriousness since 2011 or so.

I really liked Worlds Apart, too. Not much to love after that.

There were some underrated tracks on that one. "Summer 91" is great. About once a month the audio of Conrad saying "hey fuck you man" to a group of giggling children from the end of the title track runs through my head.

I'm a sucker for that "The Summer of '91" > "The Rest Will Follow" > "Caterwaul" run. Then there's "Let it Dive", which absolutely slaps.

Today I learned that in the world of K-pop, "title track" has nothing to do with a song that shares the name of its parent album. Rather, "title track" refers to what we know in the West as the "lead single." But, also, these "lead singles" come out at the same time as the album does. A single released before the album is available is referred to as a "pre-release single." So you can have a lead single ("title track," although it doesn't share the name of the album) that is technically the second single after the "pre-release single."
Also they refer to EPs as mini-albums, which is cute
