I hope to god they don't do another force child though. That was appallingly stupid the first time
I can't see JJ going there. He's spoken enough about how the midichlorian is not something he connected to
He's executive producer of the next one I heard. And him and Johnson have locked in on the script and story and where it will go apparently.

Speaking of bad dialogue, I thought I heard Maz drop a "child, please" in there too.

True story: all of Chewie's OT dialog translates as "THIS IS OFF THE HOOK!" All of it.

I generally despise 3D, but I still saw this movie in that format. It wasn't obnoxious, but I really didn't see the point of it either. Really added nothing. Next viewing will definitely be in 2D.ABNorman wrote:Team, it's a major hassle for me to get to a 2D screening. Will I hate the 3D?

Abrams has been very open about his dislike for 3D and this wasn't shot for it at all.
It only had that 3D in one or two shots of the star destroyer and an X wing shot.

I did iMax 3D. I don't have a 2d to compare to but 3D wasn't necessary. I hate that formatdimejinky99 wrote:ABNorman wrote:Team, it's a major hassle for me to get to a 2D screening. Will I hate the 3D?
The 3D isn't worth it and takes away from it.
I'm told the imax 3D is incredible tho

got it.
If I recall correctly, this wasn't a secret base or anything - just a wing of the existing complex.
It could have used more security, though

Just thinking
Loved Hans line in the base when they're looking at the star killer hologram.
'So it's bigger....lets blow it up. there's always a way to blow it up'
It's almost a nod to the sw online fans who are gonna give the film shit saying its a repeat.
Beats them to the punch almost

Surely it's weaknesses are supposed to be secret, though? Like, for example, how to blow it up?
Granted, anybody in this universe is going straight for any trench they see, at this point.

They'd be arrogant enough to believe they don't need security. Remember the shield Han mentions on the way to it?
And it's a planet. How much security do you need?
But you do see security droids out on the landscape if you look to them.

at least it wasn't a tiny hole or an ostentatious glowing reactor that they had to direct hit this time. they just bombed the hell out of that one area.

Did anyone catch Yoda's dialogue in that force vision bit?
Unless he's doing his scary 'you will be' voice I can't make it out.
I can hear Vader breathing a bit in it but no yoda
