Since we finished West Wing I really wanted to go into Studio 60. I watched it first run and not since. Mrs Wease had never seen it. Only streaming option was to buy from Amazon for like $25. Didn’t want to do that. Found the dvd set at a used store for $12 so we’ll be starting it today. Very excited.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

If you’re enjoying the Sorkin episodes of West Wing, you’ll dig it.epilogue wrote:Nicewease wrote:Since we finished West Wing I really wanted to go into Studio 60. The Sorkin West Wing is outstanding. S5 is a little rough, though, without him.wease wrote:If you’re enjoying the Sorkin episodes of West Wing, you’ll dig it.epilogue wrote:Nicewease wrote:Since we finished West Wing I really wanted to go into Studio 60. if you like the sound of Breaking Bad, mixed with Pose, mixed with Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are, mixed with Sesame Street, you'll dig it as much as meepilogue wrote:Hadn't heard of this until Ms H's post. Yeah this is good halfway through. They’re nailing 80s NYC.epilogue wrote:Holy shit yes!Ms Harmless wrote:if you like the sound of Breaking Bad, mixed with Pose, mixed with Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are, mixed with Sesame Street, you'll dig it as much as meepilogue wrote:Hadn't heard of this until Ms H's post. I see the aesthetic though I am not completely sold on it being such a strong showing that it stands out. I also think location is something that certainly builds with time.spike wrote:Yeah this is good halfway through. That said, I got through one E1 and a bit of E2, when Cumberbatch started hitting the booze rock-star hard I decided to take a breather.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
We started Studio 60 last night. First rewatch for me since it first ran and Mrs Wease has never seen it. After finishing THE WEST WING I was worried I’d just see Josh and Danny (with Matt) every time they were on screen, but I never even thought of them while watching. We’re 2 episodes in and it’s every bit as great as I remembered it being.
