There's something about the way Whitaker delivers his lines as Saw that is absolutely badass.

Besides the characters that already existed in other movies, I don’t remember anyone’s name.

That's because the writers did a great job and the characters aren't constantly using everyone's names all the goddamn time. That shit never happens in real life and I hate how much it happens in film/TV.

Yes!

Gilroy took a risk in avoiding the all to common "have the dialogue narrate what the characters are currently doing and what they will do next" writing that plagues so many modern productions.

This guy explains it here: https://youtu.be/hL4IfoQzSSE?t=995

It's writing 101.

No one needs a YouTube "explainer."

I know, Ruddo. That was my flippant way of dismissing him and his rude post.

Your post was rude my friend. I suspect some folks might be interested in a video on how dialogue choices in Andor increase the sense of realism. No need to be dismissive

When someone chooses to be dismissive of me, it's not out of line to reply in kind. Save the sanctimonious shit, bud. We don't need it.

Almost four episodes into my rewatch. This series is far and away the best thing Disney has done with the SW franchise. I remember the first three episodes being slow, but I was riveted the entire time with the knowledge of what comes next.

Diego Luna's delivery of "They're so fat and satisfied, they can't imagine it... that someone like me would ever get inside their house" hit even harder today than it did three years ago.

Not really.

Just some little S1 details I love.

The speeder going over the agriculture plots at the end of episode 3.

The 6-horned sheep on Aldhani.

That the Star wars galaxy has durian & rambutan fruit.

That was cool. It's uncommon to see practical things in big budget sci-fi.
