Seems like a very uncharacteristic fail by Burt here. And with a Matt Taibbi opinion at that. I like that guy, this should have been a slam dunk.

Although Mr Taibbi is arguing these days that Rachel Maddow is like Bill O’Reilly? What’s up with that. I don’t really get the anti- Rachel Maddow stuff. Obviously it’s her ratings that drive it but how can anyone feel threatened by her? She caters to people who want a 5 minute story drawn out to 60 min. Apparently ~3M or so people want that. She’s not some super villain.

Matt Taibbi is another in a long line who disagrees with the “woke mob” and got drawn into the anti-woke mob, which is honestly worse. When you start to sound like Ben Shapiro even after he gave up...

Greenwald is embarrassing these days. An even better example of how contempt for mainstream media/woke mob/whatever blinds you to the point you can’t see it, and all the arguments begin from that point. The anti-social justice warrior is still a cultural warrior and most of them of just as ridiculous & annoying.

He’s just another example of someone whining loudly, in public, for all to see/read/get annoyed at, that opinions like his aren’t allowed. But he’s a crusader and he will fight!

Your complaints about Greenwald being reflexively anti whatever and generally annoying probably have merit.

Separately from that, are there factual issues from his story about the Russian bounties?

All I know is the guy is insufferable these days. I don’t know anything about Russian bounties.
