I'm happy for him, He should be a good fit at Alabama, and might be a lot happier on that staff. Kirby must have had someone in mind for a few years. I think Saban will probably be slightly more heavy handed on D than he was with Smart for the last few years, but Pruitt will be a great recruiter and he's a grinder same as Kirby, and that apparently didn't mesh well with some of the people in Athens.

Good luck to him. I'm pretty sure the good fortune at Alabama will continue, Pruitt certainly left Athens better than he found it on defense, he was easily the best coordinator there since Van Gorder left.

Recruiting news, Clemson just landed a 5 star big boy DT. I love that they are really adding to the trenches and going after a lot of O / D line as well as LBs. It seems the last few years, Clemson still lands a pretty stellar skill guy (#1 RB on his way), but they have quietly been going after a bunch of 4 star / 5 star linemen.

They also got the #1 QB in the country for the 2017 incoming class to commit verbally yesterday. My stepson has his heart set on going to Clemson, so hopefully I'll be seeing some good teams in the upcoming years.

Pac is 4-0 so far and UCLA should put a hurtin' on Nebraska tonight.

They aren't any more meaningless than the other 30+ meaningless bowl games.

I was just trying to get a rise out of you, I'm sorry. I'm just having a bad night because the NFL network just called tonight's game "Saturday night edition of Thursday night football".

Hey darth, I found this profile of Clemson fascinating. If I ever end up in the Carolinas someday it would be cool to take in a home football game.

Looks like my stepson is going to Clemson, so hit me up, I'm sure I'll be at a lot of home games.
